As with any physical activity, dance has a standard uniform. Appropriate dance wear and dance shoes are part
of the discipline of dance, but also for the dancers comfort and safety. We choose a studio uniform leotard for a
consistent look and feel that keeps all dancers equal in class. Tights are required to protect and warm muscles.
Proper shoes are required for safety and learning. Please support us and your child by ensuring they are
dressed appropriately.
Below are our studio requirements for dance wear by class. All students must have appropriate dance wear by
October 1. Designated dress down days will be announced when students may wear other dance wear to class.
The following items are available and in stock at the studio: Studio leotards, pink tights, pink ballet skirts,
black dance shorts, black jazz pants, dance bags.
Dance shoes are not in stock, but for your convenience we have sizing kits from our preferred brands. Once your
child is sized, the shoes are ordered & typically received by the next dance class.
Baby Dancers
Studio leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, white buckle tap shoes. Optional pink ballet skirt and dance bag.
Mini Dancers
Studio leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, tan buckle tap shoes. Optional pink ballet skirt and dance bag.
Junior & Primary Dancers
Studio leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, tan buckle tap shoes, tan slip on jazz shoes. Optional pink ballet
skirt, dance shorts, jazz pants, and dance bag.
Pre-Teen Dancers
Studio leotard, pink or tan tights, pink ballet shoes, tan buckle tap shoes, tan slip on jazz shoes. Optional ballet
skirt, dance shorts, jazz pants, and dance bag.
Teen Dancers
Studio leotard, pink or tan tights, pink ballet shoes, black Bloch slip on tap shoes, tan slip on jazz shoes. Optional
ballet skirt, dance shorts, jazz pants, and dance bag.
Intermediate and Advance Ballet
Studio or black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic, hair in bun. Optional ballet skirt or knit ballet
shorts.
Hip Hop
Studio leotard or appropriate sports top, studio dance shorts, jazz pants or sweats, white tennis shoes that do
not leave skid marks, hair pulled back.
