Beginner Music Class
An interactive, fun, group program for children ages 5-7, designed to teach the basics of music. All classes are
limited to 6 students per class and are 45 minutes once per week. This class builds a solid foundation necessary
for future private lessons. The classes cover:
- Movement and music
- Learning to sing and listen
- Making music with percussion instruments
- Rhythm games
- Exposure to different styles of music
- Singing
- Elementary note recognition
- Tuition $54/month
- Marrero studio Saturday mornings
Voice Lessons
Our voice lessons are available in both group format or private lessons. Our group format is great for beginners
ages 6-8 who will benefit from a peer setting. After the first year, students will progress to private lessons for
individual training. Students sing all kinds of music from their favorite artists to classical arias. Our voice teachers
all have a university degree in music specializing in voice and sing everything from pop and jazz to opera. Just a
sample of what a student will learn in singing lessons includes how to breathe properly, how to increase their
range, proper pitch, how to project and stage presence.
Musical Theater Chorus * NEW!
We're bringing back our group voice lessons for older students with a new twist...Musical Theater Chorus! If your
singer likes the show GLEE, then you'll want to sign up for this class. It's a group voice class that will focus on
songs from musicals while learning the basics. Available ages 7+.
Private Piano Lessons
Piano lessons are available for boys and girls ages 6 and up, for beginners through advanced. Our piano lessons
are all private one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 or 45 minutes. While our piano lessons are all
private, parents are more than welcome to sit in on their child’s lessons. Piano is offered at both Marrero and
Harvey locations.
Private Guitar Lessons
Our private guitar lessons include both acoustic and electric. Typically a student would be 8 before starting guitar
lessons, due to their hand size, but some younger students start with a junior sized guitar. Beginner group guitar
lessons are held in the summer and are possible at the start of the year while basics are learned.
Year-end Recital
Our year end recital is optional and low-pressure. It features all of our music students performing pieces that
showcase their talents, months of lessons, and weeks of practicing. At our music recitals, students get exposed
to new musical styles and instruments. The recitals help students stay motivated, encouraged and interested by
seeing the progress of their peers and performing for their family and friends.
